Plug me in

I am Wiebe Wakker, a sustainable adventurer known for my unique travel project 'Plug Me In'. In this extraordinary journey, I traveled from the Netherlands to New Zealand in an electric car, and I did this without any money. My adventure lasted more than three and a half years and took me through 34 countries, covering a total of 100,450 kilometers.

What Do I Do?

My primary goal is to inspire people and raise awareness about sustainability.
During my journey, I met countless individuals who helped me with meals, accommodations, and electricity for my car.

These experiences taught me how important community and collaboration are.I visit sustainable initiatives around the world and share my findings through social media. My stories are not just meant to entertain, but also to encourage others to think about their own impact on the world.

Current Activities

Nowadays, I give presentations at conferences and seminars, where I inspire companies and individuals with my stories and lessons. I discuss how they can use social media and 'earned media' to spread their message. My presentations are focused on motivating people to work together towards a more sustainable future.In essence, I am passionate about promoting sustainability and sharing the power of human connections.
