Blue Jeans

Jeans are a style of trousers or pants, generally made of denim or dungaree fabric. Often the word "jeans" refers to a specific type of pants, called "blue jeans" invented by Jacob W. Davis in collaboration with Levi Strauss & Co. in 1871 and copyrighted by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss on May 20, 1873. Before the patented Levi Strauss pants, the word "blue jeans" had long been used for different clothing made of blue-colored denim.
