This is advantageous because it allows the designers to collaborate with the contractor, during the design phase, and present to the client ideas that are feasible and within the parameters of the client’s budget. The contractor is also involved early on so they understand the essence of the design from its conception. The designer and contractor are acting as checks and balances for each other while creating realistic goals and expectations.
