The more than 200-year-old tradition of lace making is a cornerstone of the town industry, and every item created is made with the crochet-hook by a lace maker - some with more than 40 years experience. Konikow lace lingerie is a new product from Koniakow. Primarily younger ladies are crocheting thongs, bra and panty sets, t-shirts, skirts and beachwear as some of the older lace makers are angry about it. They say it's a profanation of Koniakow traditional lace.
