Jump Gymnastics
Setting out to fill the dearth of age-appropriate gymnastics classes for kids, Jump Gymnastics opened in 2007 in South Central. The Austin, Texas based kid’s gymnastics studio, preschool, and after-school program was founded by college-level gymnast Natalie McKee. Combining the two leading types of gymnastics curriculum, McKee and her staff of childcare professionals and US Gymnastics certified instructors were able to create the first structured, yet fun and energetic gymnastics for kids.Austin’s center for children’s gymnastics takes an innovative approach through their unique Leap Frog Program. The level system ensures happy, healthy little gymnasts. Students are guided through 90 gymnastics skills, broken down into six fun, yet challenging levels. Kids receive a welcome packet and a skill chart to track their journey with fun frog stickers. When they use the frog stickers to track their progress with the new skills, kids gain confidence marked by ribbons indicating the new skill they have mastered in the previous three-week period. The Leap Frog Program at Jump Gymnastics guarantees kids will gain the discipline and physical motivation necessary to learn new skills quickly and move confidently to the next level. Their theme-based curriculum provides a path for imaginations to run wild. Learning at Jump is not a job, but an adventure. The new North Central location offers gymnastics, with preschool and after-school programs kicking off later this year.
