Ototo

Not yet updatedOTOTO is the latest addition to the Sushi Den and Izakaya Den, a more casual ambience, raw bar and Robata grilled skewers, sashimi, grilled whole fish, and noodles as well as a premium sake list. While Izakaya is called Sushi Den's sister restaurant, OTOTO in Japanese means ""younger brother"". Together they form a trifecta to honor Japanese cuisine on the ""Den Corner"". Sample Menu Items: • Catch of the Day raw bar - selections served raw or grilled • Robata-style grilled fish and meat skewers / yakitori • Grilled whole fish and foie gras • Live sea urchin A robatayaki is shortened to just robata refers to a method of cooking, similar to barbecue, in which items of food on skewers are slow-grilled over hot charcoal - Binchotan charcoal. It is the informal Japanese drinking establishment that serves food to accompany the drinks. They are casual places for after-work drinking.  Courses are served as the food is prepared and generally made for ""sharing"".   We refer to Izakaya Den, as our ""sister"" restaurant. The word Otōto in a northern Japanese dialect means ""younger brother"" and in the dialect of Osaka it means ""fish"". Since our younger brother hand selects our Japanese fish from the fish market in southern Japan, for us this is the perfect name for our little brother restaurant.
