While Chris Pratt, who plays the title character plumber, works with Toad to find his way through the Mushroom Kingdom for more than two minutes, Jack Black plays the wicked Bowser, who fries several penguins in the trailer (Keegan-Michael Key). It may just be balancing concerns brought on by Mario's lack of an ass, but he appears far from the platforming monarch we know him to be at the beginning of the clip.
