Popularity of the caboose, a refurbished train car from Granville Island's manufacturing days, skyrockets, and the bakery thrives as a result. The bakery was purchased by Stuart Scher in 2011. In the Granville Island Pet Treatery, a converted bakery that caters to both locals and visitors, you may find gourmet candies made by hand.
