Shanna graduated from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida and received her undergraduate degree from The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Shanna gained valuable trial and appellate litigation experience as a certified legal intern for the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office where she won every case she was assigned.Shanna opened her own practice in 2013 with a focus on Family Law and gained invaluable experience in the courtroom. Shanna takes pride in giving a voice to people who need help battling powerful adversaries.Shanna’s dedication to the community earned her the Dean’s Community Service Pro Bono Award for her work with the Miami Rescue Mission’s Jeffrey A. Tew Education Center. There Shanna taught mathematics, English and grammar to men who suffered from life-controlling problems such as homelessness, chemical abuse or addiction, medical and mental issues, illiteracy and lack of adequate job skills with the goal of improving their academic skills to prepare them for re-entry in the job market.
