Urban Church
UrbanChurch, located in Trolley Room (Suite 100) at the Forest Park Visitor Center in St. Louis, MO, is a haven for lovers, loners, vagrants, outcasts, and friends. And that means that people come first. This is why you will find a welcome home and close friends nearby at every UrbanChurch location that ever exists, no matter your social status, wealth, race, gender, or sexual orientation. You matter, and you need friends and a family that will bring out your best. We fall into just about every category you could imagine, whether it be new age, non-denominational, community center, friends church, Christian group, and countless others. We exist to be light in a dark world, and that's why a percentage of every dollar donated to UrbanChurch will always go to partner with charity organizations in our backyard and around the world. UrbanChurch is partnering with organizations to reverse homelessness, provide clean water for third-world countries, and stop sex trafficking here and across the world. We believe in environmental sustainability. The writers of the Hebrew scriptures talk a lot about stewardship, and it's echoed in the New Testament. It's more than a fad of the moment. Sustainability is about survival as a race on earth and leaving it better for our children. That's why in every UC location, you'll find recycle bins everywhere. You won't find a lot of papers. And the coffee (always on us) is fair trade. UrbanChurch joins God-following Christians from more than 150 nations around the world devoted to living out the teachings of Jesus. We come from a rich history of beauty, pain, and sometimes horrific mistakes. We're imperfect and we celebrate that God loves us in spite of those imperfections. We are astonished and amazed by God's grace, mercy, truth, and peace happening throughout the planet. UrbanChurch truly is a church for the rest of us (Tagline: ""A Church for the Rest of Us"")
